Joint clubs show 12th April 2008

This show was a "red letter" day for us!
Two of the five participating clubs had included assessment classes for cats in the preliminary group.
This gave us the opportunity to gain two merits awards in one day!
The Rex Cat Club entry also included the usual miscellaneous classes, while the Asian group hosted a new class, the "Breeders Cup". This class was for any three cats A/K/N all having the same breeders prefix. These cats did not have to belong to the same breeder/ owner.
The youngest Snowshoe present was a blue mitted kitten, only just old enough to be shown, Spinning Keflavik. His breeder Janet Ryan was showing him before he went to his new owner.
This little lad thoroughly enjoyed his day out, charming the judges and the public alike, and on the way gained two merits and several good placings in the miscellaneous classes.
Their were two brothers present in the adult classes, Coldenufforsnow Tecumse and Tashunka. These two boys had previous kitten wins to their credit and were now hoping for the required Adult wins to earn them their " qualifying four merits". On the day they duly obliged, each collecting two merit awards and a handful of miscellaneous class wins and placings. Well done to them and their proud owner Theresa Grant. Theresa also had a cat in the HHP division, Piccaso, who also collected his fair share of rosettes.
The Breeders Cup classes had been divided into two sections, Asian and assessment. The assessment section compromised of two Snowshoe groups.
First place went to a group of three Blue/White tabby points, Coldenufforsnow Kitzbuhel, her brother Kanut and her daughter Snowmass. The second placed group consisted of Coldenufforsnow Opal and the two brothers Tashunka and Tecumse. These three cats are Blue/White points.
Coldenufforsnow Snowmass took the BIS Snowshoe award much to the delight of Mollie who owns her, especially as Kitzbuhel ( mother of Snowmass) took the same award last year.
Well done to all the Snowshoes who took part. On the day they came away with 20 merit awards and four of them moved into the " Quad Merit" winners ranks. These were : Sodachicats Chandra, Coldenufforsnow Snowmass, Coldenufforsnow Tashunka and Coldenufforsnow Tecumse. Congratulations to all concerned!
